Principal, Solution Operations and Strategy

The Principal, Solution Operations and Strategy will report to the VP of Product with primary responsibilities for developing and implementing overall in-market strategies for axialHealthcare’s Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) offering. The Principal will help write the playbook for axial’s expanding capabilities in the value-based care arena and apply key learnings from the OUD Enhanced Program to inform future bundle and comprehensive risk-sharing arrangements with health plan and ecosystem partners. This role requires an understanding of complex, payer focused healthcare marketplaces such as Managed Care, PBM, BPCI, etc., and the ability to effectively conduct strategic discussions directly with senior management, clients, and ecosystem partners. The Principal, Solution Operations and Strategy will work cross-functionally with teams across the organization to deliver clarity, alignment and focus to axialHealthcare’s OUD solution.

 

Specific Duties:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing overall in-market strategy for axialHealthcare’s Enhanced OUD Offering: operational (staffing model, workflows, conversion rates, run-rate monitoring,etc.),  financial (pricing, SLAs, gain share, etc.), and establishing Key Performance Indicators
  • Lead due diligence and partner selection, including Build v. Buy recommendation, for external vendors who may provide ancillary services relating to the OUD Enhanced Offering
  • Will monitor program performance, track KPI’s, analyze and understand variance to make recommendations to improve performance
  • Act as the internal spokesperson for the program, provide weekly updates to aLT and other departments when necessary
  • Partner with Product Manager to effectively communicate program goals and create an inspiring call to action for all axialistas
  • Partner with clinical and analytic resources/team to conduct gap analysis between financial/feature/workflow requirements and existing application/solution functionality
  • Partner with Client Partnership and Business Development by acting as the Enhanced OUD Offering Spokesperson for client meetings or delegate other capable resource
  • Oversees identification of operational requirements (workflows, network considerations, etc.), understanding client and market movement, and creating solutions that are quickly adopted in the marketplace by all customers (payer, provider and patient)
  • Oversees creation of documentation including requirement user stories, acceptance criteria, new feature PowerPoint decks, process workflows, personas, journey maps, wireframes and user guides
  • Drives external product and market research initiatives (focus groups, on-site visits, solicitation of client feedback)
  • Effectively communicates to internal and external stakeholders milestones, roadblocks, new insights and scope changes

 

Primary Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications
  • 5-7+ years of consulting, business analysis, product analysis, financial analysis,  and/or account management in a complex, payer focused healthcare marketplace (Managed Care, PBM, BPCI, etc.)
  • Ability to open the aperture and understand the risks associated in attempting to align incentives by disrupting an immature market rooted in FFS payment models
  • Thrives in a fast-paced work environment and doesn’t bat an eye at change
  • Belief that the status quo can be improved upon, and an innate desire for process improvement, problem solving, and results
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in dealing with multiple projects and cross-functional teams, and ability to coordinate across teams
  • Ability to effectively conduct strategic discussions directly with senior management, clients, and ecosystem partners
