Engagement Specialist

axialHealthcare has an opening for an Engagement Specialist for a rapidly growing healthcare IT company. axialHealthcare’s mission is to improve the wellbeing of patients in pain, while creating value for our client partners. We are focused on solving complex pain and opioid therapy related problems through the power of big data, using advanced and predictive analytics. Our partners are health plans and ACOs. axialHealthcare has a proprietary product suite founded on evidence-based pain management principles.

The Engagement Specialist is fundamental in supporting our product line to engage and educate healthcare professionals and patients in pain within our client groups. The Engagement Specialist should be an outgoing, self-motivated, creative, highly organized, energetic, and professional individual that is detail and goal-oriented.  The candidate should enjoy interacting with customers over the phone in order to introduce company products/services and build a strong and lasting partnership.  The Engagement Specialist reports to the Consult Services Support Manager and is part of axial’s Clinical Consult Services team.  The ideal candidate will work 8 hours between the hours of 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday.  The candidate may work at axial Headquarters in downtown Nashville, TN, remotely from a home office, or may choose to combine the two options.

Essential Job Functions

  • Engage clinical practices via verbal and written outreach to increase utilization of axial’s products/services and ensure end-user satisfaction
  • Provide education and speak knowledgeably about axial products/services
  • Locate and engage new and previously hard-to-engage clinical practices with persistent creativity
  • Identify product end-users needing product support and problem solve accordingly
  • Provide ongoing follow-up as needed for patients/clinical practices
  • Interact with patients telephonically and/or within a mobile application to introduce axial’s mobile app and troubleshoot as necessary
  • Effectively motivate and support patients as needed for a personalized product experience
  • Practice discretion and sensitivity when working with sensitive/confidential data in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Support coordination efforts within axial’s clinical team, which consists of Pharmacists, Provider Education Specialists, and Behavioral Health Coaches
  • Provide continuous guidance on process improvement and workflow enhancements

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in healthcare setting, interacting with providers and patients
  • Experience in providing excellent customer service
  • Experience in call center type environment or similar

Skills

  • Proficient with MS Office, Google Suite
  • Training in motivational interviewing is a plus

Minimum Educational Requirement

  • College degree
